Hamilton Families established San Franciscos first shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Now they are San Francisco's leading service provider to homeless families, with an array of highly effective programs at sites in San Francisco and Oakland. Hamilton Families supports families experiencing homelessness by offering a wide array of services to help families keep or find safe, stable housing. Hamilton Shelter Program operates one of the largest shelters for families experiencing homelessness in San Francisco, offering a safe place to sleep, three meals a day and critical social services to 50 families a night for up to six months. Families at the shelter receive case management, housing search assistance, job training and other support.
