Homeward Bound facility provides rental apartments to individuals with limited credit and rental history. The program requires a person's ability to pay rent, to care for an apartment and be a good neighbor as prerequisites for tenancy. Also has 24 units for Alaska Mental Health Trust Beneficiaries. Offers homeless individuals dealing with chronic alcoholism the tools and resources needed to move from homelessness to stable, meaningful, and personally satisfying reintegration into the community. Improves conditions in which homeless people live by increasing access to community services and resources. Supports employment and housing needs of residents. Encourages clients to engage in community events, participate in social functions and provides opportunities for residents to obtain employment. Administrative hours: 7 days a week 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
