Oxford House Shawn is a democratically run, self-sufficient, and drug-free home.Oxford House Shawn is an independent, drug-free women's shelter.Oxford Houses is a concept of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.Representatives from each house in the chapter meet monthly with representatives from the other houses to exchange information, seek solutions to problems in one house, and express the chapter's vote on larger issues.The women of Oxford House Shawn pay all expenses related to the maintenance of the house.There are 7 beds in this self-sustaining, drug-free house.Oxford House Shawn is part of a non-profit, publicly supported, 501(c)3 umbrella organization that provides the network of all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to replicate the Oxford House concept where appropriate.
