Oxford House is a concept of recovery from addiction and alcoholism.In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically administered, self-sustaining and drug-free home.Parallel to this concept is the organizational structure of Oxford House.This publicly supported, not-for-profit 501(c)3 company is the umbrella organisation that provides the network that connects all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the concept of Oxford House where needs arise.The number of inhabitants of a house may vary from 6 to 15; there are men's houses, women's houses, and houses that accept children with them.
