Oxford House Amherst Road is a self-run, self-sustaining home for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.This house is open only to women and children.Any Oxford home is an effective and inexpensive way to prevent a relapse.One representative from each House in the area meets with the others monthly, to share information, seek resolution of problems in a particular House, and express that Chapter's vote on broader issues.Residents pay rent, utilities and other household expenses at Oxford House Amhurst Road.The maximum capacity is eight people.This self-supporting, drug-free home is part of a larger national nonprofit organization.
