Carrington House is a highly structured, residential substance abuse recovery program that offers homeless men the tools and life skills they need to turn their backs on addiction once and for all and rebuild their lives one day at a time. Carrington House services include individual and group counseling, access to GED classes and vocational training, jobs placement, relapse prevention classes, recovery and life skills workshops. Graduates leave the program with a network of support, employment, and if needed a GED.
Mission Statement: JHR offers homeless men the opportunity to rebuild their lives and return to their families and society as productive, self-sufficient and independent citizens. We provide the tools, information and supportive environment necessary for life-long recovery from substance abuse. JHR provides services to indigent, homeless men in Baltimore City who have a history of chronic substance abuse. The program is open to men of all races, religions, and sexual orientation. JHR offers a continuum of programs that provide homeless clients with opportunities to rebuild their lives.
