This is the 4th year for our Overdose Awareness event/Remembrance Candlelight Walk. My husband and I started Safer Street almost 3 years ago now after our daughter, Alexandria's passing. We knew nothing of addiction, clueless and realized most parents were in our same shoes. We knew we needed to educate on signs, symptoms, what it looks like, the packaging for the parents. We also find beds for people who reach out, transport them if necessary, buy there person hygiene items and clothing. Plus if they successfully complete rehab and want to go to sober living, we will scholarship them for 2 weeks as well. Here is some details on the event, it is July 20th, 2019. I can email you the sponsorship form and what that includes as well. Last year we had over 1000 participates at a beautiful lake setting and all resource tables are under a 20x40 party tent in case of inclement weather. Hope to hear from you soon Tammy Sienkiewicz Safer Streets for Tamaqua's Little Feet Mission Statement: This event will highlight the common ground in recovery for those who struggle with addiction, mental health complications and health and wellness issues.
