Under no circumstances should anyone move into a home that is run by (owners of Day by Day Sober Living). I had been living at their Columbia Heights residence, when I was accused of relapsing, after my roommate claimed to have found my DOC laying on my bed the day prior. Room was searched; House Manager questioned me (at 5am in the morning); and I was told that I was good to go. A few hours later, I was told that I had 30 minutes to vacate the residence or the police would be called. I called owner to see what was going on and she refused to let me speak, advocate for myself, or ask any questions and abruptly ended the call by hanging up on me and not answering my calls back to her. After hastily packing my things, I realized that I was missing $60 cash and over 30 Suboxone strips and I quickly realized that my roommate had fabricated the story of finding my DOC, in order to get away with stealing from me and every attempt I made to contactthe owners about the situation has failed. They have never responded to me, apologized to me, etc. Any company that throws someone out without explanation; without any evidence to back up another's claims; and refuses to speak to you in an appropriate, professional manner or return your emails/phone calls, should be shut down. I told them in my last email to her, that I would do my best to make sure no woman has to go through what I was put through and this review is part of that. Please save yourself and do not give these people anymore business - you deserve better and I assure you, you can find a sober home that actually cares about you and your sobriety.

We remember the incident mentioned above clearly. The information is not true. The resident lived in our house a few days and unfortunately was not complying with our program structure and did relapse. However, we do wish her the best!
