Building Futures is a Housing First agency. That means the primary aim of their programs and services is ending clients homelessness by housing them as quickly as possible and then providing the supportive services they need. Bessie Coleman Court: 52 units of permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless survivors of domestic violence, at Alameda Point. The Housing Resource Center provides literally homeless individuals and families with housing services that are referred by 211. Welcome Home San Leandro provides street outreach, permanent housing and supportive services to high needs, chronically homeless San Leandro residents. Building Futures offers two emergency shelters for homeless women and children, the 30-bed San Leandro Shelter and the 25-bed Midway Shelter in Alameda.
