Catholic Charities transitional housing program provides long-term shelter for 12-24 months to homeless families who are sufficiently stabilized to achieve a level of independence, but still in need of some support services. They focus on employed or employable single and two parent families, a majority of whom have completed an emergency shelter program. To prepare the homeless families for true independence, they pay rent based on a maximum of 30 percent of their income although utilities are included. They continue contributing to their self-directed savings plans and attending weekly on-site skill-building classes, including parenting, budgeting and employment.
Mission Statement: Helping our community's most vulnerable with solutions that permanently improve lives.
