It is the philosophy of the Community Counseling Center that addiction is a medically recognized illness with psychological, emotional, and social implications. Treatment is geared to educate individuals about their disease, as well as assist them in developing the skills necessary to manage their lives in sobriety. It is only after life skills are developed that the chemically dependent can break the bond of addiction and grow toward a healthier, more productive, and satisfying life.
