McCabe Center provides transitional housing in a Christian, alcohol- and drug-free environment for men who are willing to be employed and achieve independence from social services through education, cognitive development and accountability. Residents must actively pursue self-defined goals and be working with approved community support systems.People with recent methamphetamine diagnosis or who participate in the SHORT drug court program may qualify for free services for the first 60 days. Other Travis County residents may be initially funded through the rent assistance voucher program through Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services. Amenities include: a home atmosphere, shared rooms, fully equipped, shared kitchen, shared area with Cable TV and computer with Internet access, house phone for free local and long-distance calls, bed linen with no-charge onsite laundry, access to bus routes. Eligibility:Formerly incarcerated or homeless single adult males who are willing and able to work, and willing to co-create holistic bio, psycho, social and spiritual goals, must be a US citizen, does not accept sex offenders FeesTypical weekly housing services fee $115/week, all bills paid Intake Procedure Call for information and to request an application, intake is by appointment only Documents Required Completed application
